“This is probably one of the closest spots to paradise you can get. At least that’s what I was thinking after arriving at Boa Vida. The cosy resort is tucked in a little bay surrounded by beautiful nature and overviewing a perfect wave in front of it. And since we came for surfing I was absolutely mind-blown by the perfect right-hander peeling down the bay. Waking up literally just in front it of it and falling asleep while hearing it break is just Incredible. But of course, Rote also offers much more besides awesome surf. Chill, swim or snorkel in the crystal clear water of the lagoons close by or explore the beautiful island with its mangroves and remote beaches. Of course, letting time fly by in the cosy resort is also a good option. Carla, the lovable owner and her friendly staff make you feel home and welcome from the very first minute. Long story short: I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a truly special Indo experience. “Hands down this is the most magic place ever. I stayed in the tree house and if I could I would move in today for the rest of my life. For me its perfect in every way. I have not been anywhere in this world where I don’t think about going surfing doing this doing that. This is the first place ever where I just sat on my breakfast table feeling the breeze of the ocean, the tree above me dancing in the wind, having this spectacular view with so many green and blue shades, having homemade granola and fruits and eggs and frozen banana cream and coffee or whatever you want for breakfast and all I thought was I don’t even wanna go surfing. I just wanna sit here and look all day long. I did not even read. I was most of the time just looking, feeling relaxed and calm like never before. You can watch the surf at boa from your bed while drinking a coconut. Everything is so simple and perfect. Starting with the bathroom with its open wooden windows when you arrive to the food to the most beautiful private bay where you can swim dive and cliff jump and the food and the owner Carla which is the biggest sweetheart. She will do her very best so you have the time of your life. I could go on forever and it would still not reflect how I feel about this place. I have no words. Just go and experience it yourself.”

“Stayed in April 2018 & rented the main house with four of us. Cannot fault the place – the location is great, right on top of the ocean with access to a hideaway beach on the lower tides. Surf was good, water is warm, good places to swim & snorkel close by as well. The staff were fantastic & looked after all our needs & we were fed amazing food all the time – I’m still missing the breakfasts now! The owner Carla is a warm, genuine person who does her upmost to ensure you have a wonderful stay. We will be back!”

So peaceful spot of our journey through Indonesia… Everything about Boa Vida Rote is just perfect – location, villa, people and the food…oh, the food – so tasty, yet so healthy! We couldn’t ask for more! We couldn’t dream of any better spot to end our trip. Carla is so nice and flexible – we are sorry we couldn’t meet her there but she took care of everything, acepted all our wishes and special requests (gluten free food).
